3D printed facade flows for retail landscapes.

Conceived as a continuous system of 324 custom components, the project adapts to all circulations of the Corner Costa Adeje shopping centre in Tenerife, offering a site-specific environment. The facade forms a fluid surface that frames shop windows and entrances, adapting seamlessly to shifting angles while maintaining material and formal coherence. From corridors to interior plazas, it guides movement through the retail spaces, transforming circulation into a spatial experience.

The design by External Reference draws inspiration from the island’s rugged rock formations and organic geometries of the surroundings, translating natural landscapes into architectural language. Engineered and produced through advanced digital fabrication, all the pieces were manufactured in PIPG, with several reaching heights of more than 3 meters.
