Mangrove Table — Casa Sayrach Collection

Part of the bespoke Casa Sayrach Collection, the Mangrove Table was designed by Carmello Zapulla from External Reference and 3D printed by LAMÁQUINA. The collection pays tribute to the organic language of Casa Sayrach, a modernist jewel in Barcelona inspired by marine and vegetal forms.

The table takes its formal inspiration from mangrove root systems—complex, adaptive structures that thrive in unstable environments. Its branching geometry was digitally generated and fabricated using an advanced polymer mixed with a natural mineral compound capable of capturing CO₂ from the air, offering both aesthetic and environmental performance.

By blending biomimicry, computational design, and sustainable manufacturing, the Mangrove Table exemplifies a new era of expressive, responsible furniture making.
