Last week, LAMÁQUINA took part in the 20th edition of the Underground Barcelona Design Week, curated by Alessandro Manetti and hosted at LCI Barcelona. The event gave us the opportunity to engage with the city’s design community, inviting attendees to touch and discuss the possibilities of 3D printing in contemporary design.

During the exhibition, LAMÁQUINA presented several collaborations highlighting the potential of advanced fabrication techniques.

The central piece was the table designed by External Reference. Combining layers of 3D-printed polymers with wooden elements, this table features a distinctive profile that establishes a strong visual identity.

The stools by Special Studio translate extruded organic forms into functional furniture. Produced in a range of colours, they provide vibrant accents that enliven any setting.

The exhibition also showcased a variety of finishing textures, inviting designers to engage directly with materiality and surface experimentation.
