RC Deportivo’s new DéporTienda, immersed in Atlantic waves printed in 3D.
On 17 April 2026, RC Deportivo opened its new official store at ABANCA-RIAZOR. Developed as an integrated project by Noumena Group and designed by External Reference, the renovation brings together spatial design, robotic manufacturing, environmental technology and data analysis.
The store is immersed in a continuous wave, inspired by the club’s blue-and-white colours and its historic relationship with the Atlantic. That wave takes shape as three main structures, reaching over three metres in height, forming the central 3D-printed installation. Turning these continuous geometries into something buildable required LAMÁQUINA to divide them into manufacturable sections without losing their alignment or visual continuity.
LAMÁQUINA developed and produced 158 individually engineered PETG elements over three months. Printed in transparent and translucent PETG in three tones — club blue, light blue and clear — each piece incorporates overlapping flanges directly into its geometry, connecting neighbouring elements while allowing the waves to read as continuous forms after assembly.
The physical space is completed by two additional technologies from Noumena Group. Pure.tech is applied to surfaces within the store, introducing an active material layer designed to act on airborne pollutants such as CO₂ and NOx. Noumena Data uses computer vision and AI to analyse how visitors move through and interact with the store, supporting the club’s ongoing management of the space.
The result is a store where a single spatial gesture carries the deportivista identity through the space.
